Default Video Review: BodyGuardz Carbon Fiber Armor for Xperia Play!

Hi guys,

I usually post on the Galaxy S II and Sensation forums, But I recently received an Xperia Play for review - so I'll be doing coverage on some accessories for it. Today, I've got the BodyGuardz Carbon Fiber armor, a thick skin you apply on your Xperia Play that offers scratch protection and design. Overall, I'm pleased with the skin and definitely recommend it. Bear in mind, this provides NO drop protection.

Full review below:

I review accessories for various mobile devices. In the past I've covered the Nexus S, Samsung Galaxy S II, Galaxy Nexus & Galaxy S III. Message me if you'd like me to cover something in particular!

That's a nice review. At first I thought it was case and was confused by your last sentence, but after watching the video it was all clear hehe.

I really liked how it looked and that red color was just amazing looking, I wish they sold those around here

You left out the most important thing!

When you slide out for the Gamepad, you didnt show that!

But i assume its fine, good review...but after i saw the face of the phones screen i dont think there is a need for it for now
If you said "thanks" and using a PC,there is no reason not to click the "thanks" button

This applies to everyone

Sorry about that, didn't think it was necessary since the skin only covers the outside the device. Sliding the gamepad does not affect the skins at all if that's what you were worried about.

It looks great. I seem to be in the market for a new case. I can't seem to find anything that has a slim fit like that one, but I also need something that will protect the phone form being dropped.

Is this just a sticker? What sort of protection does this provide? Just so the back doesn't get scratched?

That's exactly what it is, a sticker.

But it's not "just so the back doesn't get scratched" because there are other films for that. This one has design and it's cool IMO (3 colors for you to choose).

Go to the BodyGuardz site, search for Xperia Play and hit the Full Body Protector. That one is just so the whole body doesn't get scratched.

Does this sticker give you a better grip?
Because that's the most annoying thing about this phone, the backplate is too smooth, it slips easily out of your hand
