No... and no.

I would suggest you spend your spare time for the next week reading and trying to learn as much as possible before you get the phone in hand.

For a start, read the faq, and also read my guides. Don't use rom manager on the I777. Install a custom kernel to get CWM Recovery.

How to root by flashing Entropy512's Return/Unbrick to Stock, Kernel + Rooted System Package with Modem using Odin3 One-Click Downloader (Windows)
Download the "Odin3 One-Click Downloader Stock I-777 UCKH7 with Root no BL" package from MultiUpload or MegaUpload. Extract the contents of the zip file to a directory on your hard disk drive. This is a One-Click version of Entropy512's Return/Unbrick to Stock, Kernel + Rooted System Package plus stock modem from the development forum. (Contains stock zImage, factoryfs.img with root, and modem.bin.)
Start the Odin3 One-Click Downloader program by double clicking on "I777UCKH7 OCD Root No BL.exe".<LI sizcache="1" sizset="76">Now Enter Download Mode:
With the phone powered off, plug in the usb cable while holding the vol up + vol down buttons (but not the power button).
When the warning screen appears, press Volume up to continue into download mode.
In Odin, the small edit box in the upper left corner will turn yellow, and say something like [0:COM8].
Click Start. Watch the progress bar advance in green while the message box in the lower area describes the steps. When the flash is finished, the top left larger edit box will turn green and say PASS! and your phone will automatically reboot.
Unplug the usb cable from you phone after it boots up. Success. You're Rooted.

Entropy's one-click is how I rooted mine. I'm not going to proof-read your instruction set, though... The instructions provided work.

i got a headace of reading how to root this phone .the one that i do is Own recovery just hold UP+Home Button+Power button then if u saw samsung logo release power button ,you have CWm then download Super user install it. thats it no more worries about triangle or using Odin.Or theirs a kernel that already rooted ..

Is multiupload down for anyone else? I'm trying to download the root program for method 3 but I just get a blank white page. But downforeveryoneorjustme says it's up.

If anyone else can get it working, can you post one of the download links for any of the cyberlockers that multiupload uses?

I would put the link in this post for convenience but I'm too new to put links in posts.

Nope it is down to. I figured it was related to Mega

I am guessing so everyone has already rooted the phones they have and are not visiting this thread there is no help to be had on this?

I finaly have an extra phone to play with and I would like to do this some time soon. Thanks

The instructions in this thread are the same as, and were copied from, the guide listed in my signature. The download links in the guide are working links.

Well, they aren't working for some people. Megaupload is obviously down, and the multiupload link gives both of us a whitescreen. I tried 3 PC browsers plus my phone with wifi off.

If I'm not mistaken, multiupload works by uploading the file to a number of different cyberlockers. If you don't mind, could someone who is able to view the multiupload link copy/paste the direct link to any one of those cyberlockers?
