Odex versions are faster to boot because all the Dalvik's cache files of installed apk are outside the apk and so more fast to index.
In deodex ROM, the Dalvik's cache files are inside each apk. So more boot time but the big advantage is that each apk is complete and can be tweaked, in particular framework one and all those necessary to tweak theme..

So in odex fast boot but no theme tuning. And odex/deodex change only boot time, not ROM speed at use.

I've got same problem with odexed version. But deodexed works fine and even all data remains! Thanks!

OK, there was one problem with nonexisting skin and skin chooser has been crashing. The solution was edit file /data/property/persist.sys.skin and change it to existing skin. After restart it works fine.

Hello. I am running a custom ROM and I need to flash this ROM. My current HBOOT is 6.98.1002

If I flash your ROM, will the HBOOT change back to 0.98.0002 automatically? Also, as I understand, I should flash the deodexed version for full support, am I right?
