OK, got some info. The Amaze 4G does not have wifi calling at this time, though HTC is working on an update that'll include it. No ETA for that update.
Now: T-Mobile Galaxy Note II

Looks like it's because he had the version 1.35 firmware on his phone. The newer 1.36 version must have removed it.

Maybe there was a problem with it that HTC is trying to correct?

EDIT: Come to think of it, maybe there was is an issue with how the implementation changed between the Amaze and the Sensation. The Sensation used the "standard" method that the previous Android phones used, a WiFi Calling app, looks like HTC tried to change it up in Sense 3.0 and it may have caused some problems.

Talked to a T-Mobile tech, obviously they usually know nothing, but she read a legit sounding email memo, along with the fact that the previous version seems to have had wifi calling, and that our manual says how to connect to wifi calling, you would assume they'd bring it back after whatever they are fixing. (hopefully anyways)

have the new sim in my amaze and I see no sign of wifi. I noticed you have to set up the 911 address on the website, so I did and nothing. I wonder if I have to wait for tmobile to recognize it.

WiFi Calling is not there.

I tried to use the hotpot and my computer connected to the phone but when I try to open a website, it times out.
