hello sorry for my bad english im from nicaragua i've tested the gingerbread in the pola100 camera works fine, but i had a problem with the status bar its disappeared, once start is very slow but then run well, and a principal problem i cant make calls :S, but ur the man!!!! cause i dont have any idea how u migrate or integrate android in this almost dead htc hahaha :P niiiceeee!!, but i think the problem maybe is the polaimg, so ill try with another one

I hope it is.

While my just new purchased Nokia Lumia 800 is already on maintenance I took off some dust from my old Polaris.

GB is a way too heavy for Polaris. I had HTC Hero before, which have x2 more RAM and x2 more CPU speed and GB is damn slow on it comparing to Eclair or Froyo. Best bet for this old phone is Froyo, so stick to it. I'm currently using RLS18 with 2.6.25 kernel and I'm very surprised how well it runs.

Also I'm porting some tweaks from Hero so if I'm not too lazy I might release some ROM based on that build.

my second hd2 just died, so back to the polaris, i will be cooking the rom again now. damn faulty HD2s
