I have a few friends (noobs) who got trapped into contracts and a WP7 phone, Trophy or Mozart, who have discovered how painful they are to use and how little software support they have. Now regretting they didn't get Android. If they had the money, they would replace them but they're not rich people so they're stuck.
Ability to switch to Android on these phones would be a valuable option for these poor suckers.
I've played with them and WM6 was better! WP7's lack of backwards compatibility with WM6 was the main reason I went Android when I lost my WM6 Tytn II. If I have to replace all my software anyway, why not change to a better and more open OS at the same time? Worst decision Microsoft ever made, as market results testify.
