[Q] Question from a beginner

Hi
I bought a samsung gt-i9003 recently. I rooted it and i've put the rom with the xxkpe source. But i've see some problems :
- GPS make a long time to found the position and if i use the google navigation during a long time ( more than 1 hour ), the application stop running and freeze. I must make a reboot of the phone if i want to use again the gps.
- I use another phone for my work, a samsung too ( C3060 ) and most of the time, the signal of the reception on the C3060 is more important than i9003. Sometimes, i lose totally the signal, as i'm static.
So, my question : is the rom can make this inconvenience ? If it's, is xkb3 can be more interessant for me ?

Firstly, XXKPE is a dev release (i.e. unstable). Install XXKPH and see if it works well for you. Read the installation instructions carefully as it involves installing XXKPE first, flashing it twice, and then XXKPH over that (again flashing twice).

I would recommend using CF-ROOT as an all in one solution for rooting, recovery and optimization.

Download an app from the market called "fasterfix". It requires root access and is free. It basically optimizes your ntp file. All you have to do is install it, open it, choose your region, press go, close it, and repeat once more to make sure. It did wonders for me!

As for google navigation, it is disabled for anyone outside the USA. So you must use something like brut.all's google navigation with world nav unlocked. If so, make sure it is up to date (current version 5.10.1).

please post on the Q&A section (to follow the forum rules ).

My phone is on KHP build and GPS fix takes about 10-20 secs.
It might be wise to upgrade your ROM version.
