Default To buy or not to buy...already bought one.

So I bought a Hercules this morning for my wife. I played with it today while she was at work and enjoyed the device. I have owned a Dell Streak 5 and Samsung Vibrant. This seems like a happy median. I am torn though on whether I should use my current Vibrant until the Nexus comes out (If ever) for T-Mo.

Does anyone have some insider information as far as timing or carrier availability for the Nexus? I am afraid my impatience is going to get the best of me and force me into the Hercules.

Please keep in mind that I've never flashed a rom or rooted a phone. I generally just use them for what they are and go about my day. Quadrant scores mean very little, if it performs my tasks that is all I really care about. Navigation, Web surfing, calling, and the occasional movie or music are my main habits, oh and tethering. Although the resolution to some seem to be an issue I did not really notice it and I love the Super Amoled. Thanks in advance guys!

That is what I heard, but how long do these type of exclusive offers usually last?

One other question about this device. Does it still allow USB tethering and wifi hotspot?

i was gonna wait for the nexus too but i said frick it and bought an SGS2.if the nexus is all that and a bag of chips when it comes out ill just sell this phone and get it. e-bay dont discriminate and if i lose a hundred or 2 on a phone then i really could care less. only thing about the nexus that ive never really liked is the rom skin that comes with it. ill probably just use this phone till next year whe the next superphone after nexus that comes to tmobile that samsung or whoever makes. i get a new phone every year but this year ive gotten two counting my sensation

If i have helped you any please hit the thanks button

1) aprox 3 month

2) it was mentioned in another phone, it does not, but you can get around it by rooting the phone and installing the app to allow tethering

Donation is appreciated but not required, a cup of Coffee would suffice

I gotta say that really pisses me off. We can't root the phones yet either can we? I don't mind learning something new, but forcing me to is aggravating me. T-mo has always been a pretty laid back and unrestricted company, but this kind of bull **** is about to send me off.

don't worry, the root will come soon enough
today is the official 1st day....

even the best of phone hackers/developers will need at least 24hrs of continuous work to get it root right

Oh no sweat. I m not in that big of a rush. I am just new to "rooting" and generally like very thorough instructions when performing something technical. I just feel like T-mobile is spitting in our faces by limiting us on this all of a sudden.
