Thanks so much for this! Worked very easy on my unbranded HTC HD7.

Installed the WPUpdate tool
Extracted the CabSender files into a folder
Copied the 7740 update into the Cabsender folder
Launced the batch file
I hit 'S' and after a minute it was updated!

Excellent!

Small note: First I tried running the batch file in Administrator Mode, but it didn't work then (couldn't see the update cab) You should run the batch file not as administrator, then it works just fine

Question: Can you install the language pack cab on a unbranded HTC HD7 (7740) with the cab sender tool without problems? Or is it not possible to install a language pack afterwards?

Hi, I have a LG Quantum unlocked and i tried a few moments ago to update to the version 7740, with zune, but it's showing me this message : " your phone is up to date. Curent version 7.10 ( 7720 )".
What i must to do to get the newest phone software version?

Problem:

Unbranded HD7 (originally O2, but unbranded with Goldcard long time ago) with 7720, updatet with this .cab method zu 7740 successfully.

But there is no ICS Option in my Settings!?!

What went wrong, anyone experienced anything similar?

7740 Update worked on all of my devices except the Samsung Focus S. Cab transfers, phone reboots, phone screen says to connect to PC. Bat file ends up timing out. It's like the PC never sees the phone on reboot/update mode.

That is just the normal update with Nordic CSC (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland)

Had same issue. Leave phone plugged into PC with the phone on telling you to plug in and restart PC (worked for me but don't ask why). Then run CAB installer again after PC restarts. Good luck and hope this works for you.
