The weird thing I've noticed about overclocking is that if I go straight to intense testing it'll freeze sometimes but if I use the phone normally for a bit first it will fare better

My inspire would go all day at 1.8, and even hang on at 2.016 for a while

Edit: I've been running at 1.6 w smartass scaling since 7 am. Moderate to heavy use. After 7 hours I'm at 33%

I will post a screenshot of battery useage when I'm nearing empty. Not one crash thus far

I just flashed this kernel on perception rc1.

Seems to be working OK for the couple hours it's been in use.

Hey zedomax, the SGS2 is my first android.

How does battery life at 1.6ghz compare to battery life at 1.2ghz?

I think I'm considering your zedomax kernel and my first Android mod ever. hehe

It's much better at 1.2Ghz of course, 1.6Ghz is highly experimental.

1.6 GHz is going to go killtacular on your battery.

I did the calculations, and current drain at 1.6 is likely to be almost twice that of 1.2. (1.2 GHz stock voltage is 1.3 volts. Most 1.6 GHz OC implementations I've seen need 1.45 volts or more to be stable. Power consumption is a linear function of clock frequency and the square of the voltage.)
*so much sig updating needed*

An excellent post on "noobs vs. developers"

A few opinions on kernel development "good practices"

Note: I have chosen not to use XDA's "friends" feature - I will reject all incoming "friend" requests.
