Default Is is worth

Hi there - it might be a bit of stupid question but I need to ask.

So here is my dilemma - I've been using HTC since ever - I mean for the last like 10 years and I`m really used to customizing it and stuff.

Now I like HTC because I can develop for them hack them play with bootloaders etc. I dont want a smart phone because of the phone I want it because I can develop for it.

Now I`m planning to get this new samsung phone because it is the most powerful one that I`ve found - I wanted EVO 3d but this one seems better. So my question is - is there as much development and stuff for samsung android phones as there is for HTC ?

Cheers

Considering it is a Nexus, yes. Check the Nexus S and Nexus One threads, and you'll see lots of developing and lots of breakthroughs.
If I have helped you, press the button! I'd appreciate that.

DONATE TO ME
the answer is simple

if you already have a better device like SGS2 or HTC Amaze don't bother

if you have a lower hardware, then it's a fine sidegrade to the GN (galaxy nexus)

Donation is appreciated but not required, a cup of Coffee would suffice

Agreed if you already have a pretty good Ex Evo 3D, Galaxy S II Line I would see no update but if you are on a phone "that no longer supports newer version sof things" like HTC says about most of their pre sense 3.0 devices (-_-)

I see no reason NOT to upgrade to the Nexus Pri- Galaxy Nexus, you are guarantied updates as they come out and since it is a developer phone it will have a lot of support
iPhone 3G -> iPhone 4 -> Galaxy Neuxs -> Nexus 4

Asus Transformer -> iPad 3rd Gen <-> Nexus 7

so I guess I`ll be getting this one when it comes out - btw is SGS 2 better - I think this one is the best for processing power for now (i mean the Galaxy nexus)

if you like HTC, consider looking at the new HTC Rezound coming out in November as well.

1 - Thanks for killing "out of Topic" thread on the GSII forum :/.
2 - I find the screen on the new Galaxy Nexus to be the major selling point for me. The WVGA resolution blows on the GSII, although Super Amoled Plus is absolutely beautiful.
Previous Phones:
iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, Samsung Craptivate, Galaxy SII i9100, Galaxy S III

Current Phones
iPhone 5, Galaxy S4
