If you wanna change the look of your screens then there's always different launchers with themes to choose from.

+1 to this. Went from the WinMo HTC Diamond years ago, to the flagship Sprint Android Hero, to the EVO Shift to the MoPho (just got it yesterday). Becoming a Flashaholic was a way of life, and...as semi-exciting as it was anytime a new base or kernel would drop, flashing 1-2 ROMS a week or so became tedious and distracting.
I rooted the MoPho this morning simply to be able to access the build.prop so I could set the LCD Density where I wanted it (200), adjust the VM Heap (64m) and run a few scripts, along w/ convenience apps like reboot, screen off and button remapping. At this point, I'm more than happy to sit back and let the experienced devs do their thing as this phone comes into its own, and it just feels good to not HAVE to tweak the hell out of the phone just to get it to behave like a phone.
