I'm rather aggravated that Verizon hasn't released anything about a possibility of 2.3.4. I'm really pissed off at their continuous BS with Android.

The answer is obvious. Leave Verizon and switch to a carrier that gives a ****. And one that doesn't use carrier IQ on their phones.

My phone doesn't have CarrierIQ at all. I can't quit Verizon for the time being but when I do get a chance I will. The best I can do is go with AT&T in order to get the Xperia Play again but my wife & I aren't ready to move to them yet.

Its been confirmed multiple times to work on the R800i 4.0.2.A.0.62. Could you provide the errors you've been given?

Im at work atm, & i reflashed .58 but all it was that after i rooted, the cmd window said rebooting & my phone did reboot but when it started it wasnt rooted, the only errors i can remember was something like 'unable to remount' 'access denied' & it also sent 189 zerglings as before it used to send 149... Then i used superoneclick & it gets stuck at 'waiting for device' step 7 if i recall correctly

it will work if you flash an older or custom kernel onto the .62 firmware

http://www.xperiablog.net/2011/12/23...-minor-update/

devs correct me if i'm wrong, but wouldnt it be possible to flash a kernel from a previous firmware using the current flashtool and clearing the "erase userdata" and "wipe cache" boxes then ticking the "exclude system" and "exclude baseband" boxes? (this is if you have already flashed the .62 firmware and need the older kernel)

if flashing over an older firmware then tick the "exclude kernel" box. Like i said, i would need a dev to confirm this
