Sure. I did think about disabling photo postprocessing anyway But it may be controlled by AMSS/DSP so we may get nowhere.

Ok i have sent u the pics, there are 2 which are from when I was on the froyo and the last one is clicked when on DSC. even without zooming u can see the difference but if u zoom in you can see how the pixalation is visible more prominent.

if its the AMSS/DSP then .

I have tried apps to improve the camera quality and settings but they dont seems to work.

I'm going to ask the dumb question here: did you check the settings on your camera? One of the settings deals with the megapixel setting and you may have it set to VGA. Try restoring defaults if you haven't already done so.
Noob FAQ
Q: Can someone suggest a link I can follow that will walk me through the root process for this phone?
A: Simple answer is no. Do your homework. No spoonfeeding here. Check the stickies and the search engine. You'll find it soon enough.

My Downloads: Stargate Boot Animation | ICS-style Theme for DSC (Updated 3/27) | MultiFlasher

Nah buddy all that is already checked, the setting is on 5 MP , superfine and I have played around with the settings brightness at +2 , contrast at +2 but still there is a big difference. Its something else which has happenned after moving onto DSC. As pointed out by Sergei it could be the AMSS/DSP which might be controlling the post processing. Now this being my primary phone plus I am feeling lazy to flash the stock rom again.

Which AMSS/DSP files did you install: 406 or 407?

Asking because I'm running the 406 baseband and have no issues whatsoever with the camera.

After taking multiple pictures with black in them, I haven't seen any pixelation at any zoom level.
