[Q] rom install not possible with cwm recovery

Hi,

I have been running litening rom 6.1 since 2 months and wanted to change to another rom (MIUI or cyanogen 7 stable or other).

Problem 1: when i go through rommanager (not for cyanogen) i get the warning verification failed in cwm recovery 4.0.0.2. I then do manual wipe data/cache and toggle verification and do install from sd. but no luck, i just get a clean litening rom.

Problem2: with cyanogen method: no rommanager as described in their thread, just download the stable version, then go to cwm recovery and do the manual steps. (after 1 st install from sd i notice my cwm buttons are reversed, now suddenly my home button is back???) I manage to do second install, and at reboot all i see is a clean litening rom.

What can be the cause of this very annoying phenomenon? Can other litening users confirm succesfull flashing of any rom?

1) don't use rom manager
2) flash the cf-root kernel, then install the rom through recovery
