lol. those gs2's were atnt gs2's. and then i've played with others. and i am being honest. my phone is smoother than a hot knife and butter. and really, i think the lagginess on .2 was leaning more on input lag rather than ui lag. but you can go back to the gs2 forums. they love people like you.

Its not with the GPU, SGS also has the same GPU as the Galaxy Nexus but at a lower clock speed. The once in a while lag is very annoying and what many of us hate is how android zooms in "level by level"

Here is what I mean by "micro lag", when flickering down a page on Galaxy Nexus there is visible "jitterlyness" and google needs to fix this.

dude, take your 3 month old video to the gs2 forums. no micro lag, fluctuations, jitter, shakes, tourette here. play with a stock 4.0.4 gnex and experience the magic.

Honestly, everyone will say that their phone is faster "my 600mhz android 1.6 phone takes 20 seconds is faster that your 1.5 ghz quad core HTC one x loading the same app in 2 seconds". Tbh here everyone is a fanboy and fanboy like you defend their phone like a mother protecting a child.
And no, you should stop being a fanboy unless you have replaced your pair of eyes with 15fps shooters.

or if you were being sarcastic, its an exception

Yeah engadget can be heavy on browsers and had slightly less smoothness. But then the BBC test he did showed the nexus being just as smooth. And these are some heavier web pages. Load up this thread and see how smooth it is. And the nexus does have more pixels to handle. But yes on that engadget page the sgs2 was a hair smoother. You're making it sound as if its a blow out when they are so damn close. And maybe 4.0.4 gets even closer or future optomizations can get even closer.

Actually I just went to engadget full desktop site and pinch zoomed and it didn't even perform like in that video. It acted like the sgs2 in terms of smoothness. Seems to have been improved to me. Someone should make some test videos.

Great! I can finally take nexus phone in consideration for my next phone ;), btw i actually dislike touchwiz ui but bought galaxy device coz of smoothness a few months ago.

Btw I'd love to see a impression video.

Wasn't comparing sizes if you know what I mean til you started with gs2 is be all end all comparison. I honestly think .2 was smooth as hell but touch drivers weren't optimized thus input lag and multi touch issues. Then .4 came along and maps is smooth as butter with no checkerboards or fancy effects. My browser has always been smooth except for the occasional heavy image webpages. Heck, even my laptop has occasional lag with heavy images web pages. With accelerated browser and way more powerful gpu. And btw, I'm not the guy with a gs2 in the galaxy nexus forum defending the other phone. It is persons like you in the gs2 forum that dissuaded me from getting a gs2 in the first place. You really should experience a stock nexus on the 4.0.4 update with a pure stock or close to stock kernel like me. That nonsense you brought up about motion blur to make it seem smoother is just plain dumb. I can pinch to zoom and scroll like a madman with no checkerboard, blur or redraw til my heart is content. And us making note of that fact doesn't make us fan boys. It makes us very happy that android has caught up finally and can hang with the big boys, flagship phones, iOS and wp7 included.

bow chicka wow wow.

i am honest about this and you're not. You're just making **** loads of excuses from saying the sgs2 is laggy (video shows its not to now losing out and calling me a fanboy) That is what makes you a idiotic fanboy.

I am waiting for improvements and would rely on a official galaxy nexus Rom rather than cm9 on sgs2.

Edit: nope SGS2 browsers does not have motion blur effect on it (bull**** about actually using a demo the sgs2 AGAIN).
Its just skiing on snow as a pose to a skate park
Once again, i would be judging with by friends nexus.
