I was thinking actual Samsung batteries, but OEM "style" has me questioning.

i bought it, i figured for 20$ i would give it a shot, ill update the thread when i get it so everyone knows if it was a good buy or not. but i also wanted a jig (my main reason for looking there) so worst case scenario i just spent $26 on a usb jig and battery charger. (26 after adding jig)

I was really thinking about picking up one of those too. Report back when you get yours and let us know how it is. Is the jig for the sgs2 the same as the captivate one?

I'm sorry, I'm not sure. There were links for different phones on that site, I just clicked ours and these accessaries were showing.

The batteries will work however you will not be able to plug in the USB cable. Doing so will cause endless boot loops. Its a known issue when using i9100 batteries.

Those are Chinese generic batteries that are available on eBay and elsewhere. I had a set and charger for the Captivate, purchased for less than half what that seller is asking. They did work, but nowhere near as well as the OEM battery despite having the same nominal capacity rating. The charger was also really weak at 300mA? or so and took hours to charge (USB is 500mA). They were good when I needed a few extra hours in a pinch, but that's about it.

Swapping batteries also can throw your battery stats off.

I have no experience with the USB boot loops etc.

If you have an Android phone and aren't using DROPBOX, then why the heck aren't you? Even the free plan is EXCELLENT.

Speaking of made in China batteries for the I9100 I just got one in the mail. Seems to be working fine with no reboots, hope it stays that way.

And there's apps for having separate battery stats in case you have different sized batteries.
