disappointed to see that the battery life is still bad on CM7.2. I thought of moving back from CM9 to CM7.2.

GB is just faster and less RAM intensive...

This. I get about 140 to 180 free MB with CM7.2 and only 100 or less with CM9.

Yes, I also realised it. Wanted to flashback to CM7.2 yesterday and could not find it.

Downloading the official 7.2 instead.

Anyway i also prefer the semc camera too... with a full screen viewfinder compared to the AOSP one where 1/4 of the screen is covered

can also report that something drains the battery at the moment. looker here, cam app seems to run all the time in backround (actuallay it is not active):

in case nobody else has this problem, my guess is that it comes from a bad setup. i would re-flash tonight and see if camera is still running all the time.

if this problem solves cm7.2 stable is a 100% alternative for me. it runs fast, smooth, great possibilites of config, no serious issues with any function, even I donīt need hdmi out.

battery draining by cam application is solved as far as i recognized. what i did was delete the gallery.apk with titanium bu. heared from an other user that this occure same issue on stock roms, that the cam app does not rest cause gallery.apk is missing. i did this cause i use quick pic.
now i reinstall gallery.apk and the camera did not drain any energy, for now.

maybe this issue comes from other deinstalles apks as well. as far as i learned sice the last three days, batt life is not so bad and near stock (in case anything runs correctly).
