[Q] Rooting Generic Nordic St15i 4.0.1.A.0.283

Hello,
I flashed the phone with this firmware Android 2.3.4 !
However,I am not able to root ! I tried the process mentioned here

But,after I flash old boot.img (for root) of 2.3.3 , my phone does not get detected on PC after connecting,to root ! So root is not possible ! Please help !

Rooted Successfully ! It took about 10 minutes to detect phone after connecting !

i had this problem to. you should change connection mode so that PC will recognize it fast(no need to wait 10 min)

just in case being useful for other having this problem, go to:

Menu > Settings > Sony Ericsson > Connectivity

change usb mode to MSC so that Pc and then SuperOneClick will recognize it. (phone doesn't show any icon but pc will recognize)

hi after rooting your device, did you still experience the flickering screen due to environment condition? I'm new to rooting and I haven't rooted my phone yet.
