Default Lapdock 100

I was considering buying the Lapdock 100 today from AT&T or Sprint, since Verizon doesn't have it yet.

Has anyone else done this? I heard it would work for the Bionic, but then their little ** said it may need a software update. If anyone has any insight, please let me know, its either that new lapdock for $250, or my friends selling me his regular bionic lapdock for $200...

Or I just go buy an Asus EEE Transformer or Galaxt Tab lol

I'm interested in this as well. I'll be away from my desktop for about a month this December and it would be nice to have a backup for my slate/laptop.

i will bump this. picked up my lapdock 100 for 168 (work discount). The bionic DOES fit in the little slot, even with the extended battery, its very tight though. I can see one modding this by taking the rubber out so itll fit better. No pic because i dont have a cam besides my phone but i have reg pics. has built in speakers, and i hooked up a wireless logitech mouse to it. when i went in they tried to sell me the bionic specific one that cost 100 dollars more i think, but i said i wanted the 100 thats 200 bucks. they didnt know if it would work or not, but they unplugged the one on the sales floor and it started right up. Right now my only gripe is the mousepad feels a little flimsy, but that was easily solved with a wireless mouse.

I picked one up for my wife yesterday for her Bionic. This thing is awesome.

One thing I didn't realize is that it doesn't have a headphone jack. And having to sync a bluetooth headset quickly wasn't going to be good for answering a phone call privately. But I discovered that you can still plug in a headset into the Bionic's headset jack while it is connected to the lapdock and still be able to place the phone into the cradle in the back.

This thing just made my wife's Bionic that much cooler and useful.

I guess I spoke too soon. The trackpad or a usb mouse periodically stops working. I tried unplugging and even did a battery pull and still stops working after a little while.

Anyone else experience this?

I'm not having this problem, yet. been using since yesterday afternoon. I haven't had any phone calls since I've started using it...so I don't know if there are problems related with that...

I noticed that the problem occurs most often when I put the Bionic into the holder in the back. I don't know why that is though. This morning I had trouble with it but I just tried again and it worked but I didn't put the Bionic into the holder.

Hopefully the update will make it more compatible.
