DONATE TO ME
Default HTC Unlocked bootloader

Is there anyone else having an issue with htc unlocked bootloader and clockworkmod recovery and flashing the boot.img to boot in recovery? I have to fastboot flash the boot.img in order for it to take.

Seriously, they make you give up your warranty and then they don't even give you full access?

They don't give you "full access" because it makes it easier to brick if you can flash HBOOT or Radio images that aren't signed, most people don't care (myself included) about this since unofficial or other region's radio's don't really make a significant (or any) performance increase. If there is a official radio update, you can just flash the new RUU or PH85IMG.zip, then flash CWM and a custom rom after the update. That being said, I unlocked my bootloader, permrooted it using zergrush, then installed rom manager and let it install CWM from there, I haven't had a single problem with it, Android boots fine, as does CWM.
