Question What would it take to add native ALAC support to Android?

Apple just open sourced the Apple Lossless codec. With this in mind, would it be possible for a ROM maker to incorporate ALAC support so that all music apps could play the files?

Again, ALAC just went open source. What would it take to roll ALAC support into an Android ROM?

Why not you use flac as it can be used anywhere?
