Default [TUTORIAL] Temp ADB Root your EVO3D *Works with H-Boot 1.49.0011*

*** UPDATE **** gain ROOT access to ROOT EXPLORER & TITANIUM BACKUP
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1340255

TEMPORARY ROOT ONLY VIA ADB SHELL

This is for ADB experts... you can manipulate the device using ADB Root with this modified scripts and tools... this is an edited script from Doomlord and updated Zergrush from Revolutionary...

Special Thanks to....

Team Revolutionary with their ZergRush exploit
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...1296916&page=2

DoomLord with the automated script
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1321582

Please note if you download from Doomlords post, it will not work...

*Confirmed Working on*

HTC EVO 3D with H-Boot 1.49.0011 (S-ON, LOCKED)

I managed to manipulate and install the latest Android market 3.3.11 on my device..

This tool will help those who doesn't want to void their warranty, unlock their phones, s-off, etc etc... upon reboot, bye bye ADB Root... just re-run the script..

Next, I need someone to give me a list of files in the system/app and earmarked those bloatwares.. will create a script to kill them...

Appreciate your thanks and donations... cheers..

this is simply to give your EVO3D TEMPORARY ADB ROOT ONLY... it will lost the root upon REBOOT...

I doubt it will work with revolutionary recovery.. but you can try and let me know...

Does this mean we are not far away from unlocking the bootloader (by down grading hboot version)?

Got nothing to do with downgrading...

As explained, this is a TEMPORARY ROOT VIA ADB using exploit by Team Revolution... works for LOCKED & S-ON Devices..

If your EVO is UNLOCKED, I think it should become full root... can someone try this?

So rooting can't help with changing some system files(maybe CID?) to downgrade?
Does rooting give you complete authority to modify the OS files? Sorry if the questions are too nooby.

Just trying to see if it is possible to unlock & S-off without breaking the warranty.

well,, with the TEMPORARY ADB ROOT, you can access and modify system files... but i'm not an expert in this area...

Hi, I have tried it with a Malaysian set HTC Evo. I'm not sure what you mean by unlock. Does it mean carrier unlock? Sorry if this is a noob question. So far after reboot, apps such as titanium backup still cannot gain root access so I guess permanent root is not achieved.
