Thumbs up D3O case + Realook screen protector No Bubble workaround

Guys,

As you know Realook makes the best screen protectors for Galaxy series phones. I had one for Vibrant and it was the best. The trend continues for our SGS II. So I had the same problem as everyone where the D3O case was causing bubbles on the Realook screen protector. After a long session of meditation I came up with a "ghetto" workaround which works...
So this is what you do... You cut pieces of thin cardboard (I used junkmail macy's coupon) and TAPE them to top two corners of your SGS II. Then you slide the phone carefully in D3O case. If you used a certified Macy's coupon cardboard piece or equivalent, you will NOT get any bubbles anymore since this creates the additional clearance so the D3O case edges do not touch the screen protector.
I have Mine this way and it looks PERFECT!! This method can be used with ANY case and ANY protector actually. The bad thing is you can not use this method with clear cases or the cardboards will show up through the transperant materials. Also, if your phone freezes a lot and you want to take out battery often, its not efficient.
Anyways, however unorthodox this method is, the end result is success and "satisfaction" that your phone is fully protected. Oh and don't forget to add a piece of cardboard by power button to make pressing power button as if you are using a touchpad.

thanks for the info, will definitely try that out when my $1.49 SP arrives, if it would cause any bubbles that is.

Could you please take a picture of the actual cardboard pieces being taped to the phone?

I could but its not that pretty
Its just the cardboard piece cut slightly smaller than the width of shiny bezel and taped to the top two bezel corners.

It won't be pretty but it will give us an idea of how its supposed to look. I would appreciate it as I do not wish to mutilate my Skinomi.

Default D3O cases

I bought a D3O case and a Zagg Screen protector. The case was causing the edge on one corner to lift a little. I considered trimming the edge back a little with an x-acto knife but i actually found if you stretch the inside lip of the offending corner it stopped doing it. Just grab the inside edge and roll it out, it starts off really stiff then loosens up. Now I don't have any issues.

Would a Dominos coupon work or does it have to be Macys? Dominos has a better discount so it might work better.
