That way you can see which apps you've blacklisted as well. Other than that, I'd say the app is just about perfect now. Thanks for making my user experience so much better.

Yeah, i was a little bit lazy when implementing the feature... I'll try to make it more user friendly for the next release...

One small request - can you make it possible to launch the pie from the center bottom screen ?

Thank's again

Actually it's not a small request! I would have to change a lot of code. If I have some time left I'll check if it will be possible without rewriting the whole pie code...

Failed Binder Transaction
Hi Noname81,

would it be possible to fix the "Failed Binder Transaction" error that prevents the app list from showing up in a future release? v1.1 does not cure the problem. I am running Froyo (2.2.1) on my Galaxy S (and would be happy to keep it because it is running perfectly stable): do you think the error is linked to this old android version?

Thanks a lot (LogCat follows: I tried to choose an app at around 20h16 (8h16 PM)).

Pierre.

Edit:

Hi Noname81,

I have just seen your proposal to set "444" in the input dialog for "single touch gestures". I tried it and it does not work. But there is something strange: the value 444 does not stay (when I re-open the input dialog afterwards, the value is reverted to the previous value 0 or 1). Maybe, 444 is not taken into account? Or maybe I did not understand what to do: 444 should be entered in the "single touch gestures" input of the setting tab, right?

Best regards,

Pierre.

Pie labels
Perhaps this has been answered but is there anyway of changing the Pie labels? For example if I have the camera as pie 5 then I could change the label to say Camera (or better still and icon) instead of being labelled App.

Awesome app by the way.

Did you try to deactivate the app icons as I described it in the pm I've sent you?

Atm you could only change the app icon for all apps. Just decompile lmt, exchange the image and compile it again...

It's OK that it doesn't stay. It just sets an internal value so that no icons are attached when loading the app dialog! Hm, I thought the icons were the problem... I read somewhere that too many images in a listview are causing problems in older android versions... I have to think about that problem now a little bit more...

Hi Noname81,

thanks to think about this problem. But it is not necessary to spend too much time on it if it linked to my old android version: I am sure you have many more usefull things to develop and it is not too much of a problem for me as far as I can launch any application by a script through the application manager. In fact, what I think is really missing (and I thought it could be solved by using the "app" dialog instead of the "script" dialog) is a feedback image/icon when using the pie: I would love to have an optional user defined overlay image (that users could put inside a given folder) appearing somewhere on the screen when a pie is activated (a different image with or without longpress). This would help reminding the action a given pie would do, before actually performing the action. For instance, users could put images with a predefined size and name (for instance pie1.png, or pie1long.png for long press, and so on) in a folder and the relevant image pie1.png would show up on the screen when pie1 is pressed (replaced by pie1long.png in case of long press). I think that this could be possible because it seems similar to the overlay feedback image used for gesture.

Perhaps in a v1.2 ?

Best regards,

Pierre.

Noname. I have some experience with grabbing icons associated with apps (I wrote launcher dock which does it). Would be happy to share that code with you if you wanted it. Other than that I agree with the overlay idea.
