Default Need to return phone. How to get rid of exclamation mark?

Hello,
I am exchanging my phone but right now there is a giant exclamation mark on it. I read up on several ways to get rid of it but the i read something about B2 causing it to brick your phone or put it in a bootloop. Can anybody point me in the right direction. I do have a Jig but recent posts say it is bad.
nexus one > iPhone 3gs > iPhone 4 > Atrix 4g > blackberry torch > palm pre 2 > Atrix 4g > galaxy s II > HTC vivid > Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket > ATT Galaxy S II > Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket > Samsung Galaxy Nexus (verizon) > Screw Verizon > ATT skyrocket > HTC One XL > Lumia 900 > GSM Galaxy Nexus (ATT)

I just used this thread to clean mine up (not returning, just wanted it cleaned before I flashed it again): http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...30&postcount=1

The jig from Mobile Tech Videos came in two days, worked perfectly.

I have the JIG as well. No problems using it.

To "unroot" the device and get rid of the exclamation mark, use Odin and flaah stock kernel. I did that myself and was able to restore original Galaxy S 2 splash screen (and kept root). Remember, in order to use Odin, you must first put the phone in download mode by simultaneously pressing and holding volume up and down amd power buttons. If you need more assistance, feel free to PM me. Good Luck.

But if he's going to exchange the phone, recovery mode will still show the flash counter > 0 if they wanted to get nasty. You need the jig to fix that.

I exchanged couple phone with roots. Just flashed back the stock kernel, even returned with S8 Rom. Noone really pays attention and go to download mode to look for the counter. Just make sure no "!" and has ATT boot up logo. That's all.
