how to carrier unlock samsung focus

is it possible to carrier unlock an ATT samsung focus, if my phone is interop-unlocked, is there some value in the registry i can change or something?

I'm pretty sure the radio is at a different level from the main OS. You can typically get a phone SIM-unlocked by either the manufacturer or the operator, though. In the US, AT&T will unlock the Focus.

I was able to call AT&T for an unlock code. Just explain you are "overseas" and need a unlock code. Good luck!
