I was hoping for one of their different models.

I'd still prefer an otterbox/Trident cyclops, but in the meantime.......

It would be oh so awesome to get the piel frama. It apparently feels like a million bucks.
Can you imagine handing it to say, an iphone user?

"can you punch in your e-mail address me for me?"
"sure, no problem..... Wow, this case........ WOW, this screen!!! THIS keyboard!!!!!!! *nerdgasm*"

My main criteria is protection - mainly concerned about dropping it and cracking the screen. So pouches are out.
One problem with little bezel is there isn't much room for 'front cushions' when flip cases are open, but I think it should be rare to drop
the Note with the case open. (unless you are getting too ambitious using it one handed).

So.... I ordered the Noreve:
1) It's half the price of the Piel.
2) It's a 'bottom' flipper, which means the cover isn't in the way of the camera if you use it.
3) The clip doesn't go 'all the way over' so it should be notably thinner.
4) No super magnet to zap your credit cards

Melkco has announced some cases that look not bad at all.
Not sure where to buy them yet, but.....

I got my GS2 case from Melkco and the quality/fit is superb. When I get my Note, I'll definitely be using a Melkco case

These cases seem to have a magnetic mechanism. Bad idea for note as we know...

Here's what I use: flickr.com/photos/39016141@N08/6359847803/in/photostream

The slip case supplied with the HP 35s calculator. Imitation leather, velvety lining, and a snug fit for the Note. Plus, you get a free professional scientific calculator when you buy one!

I would like to buy a Nexus One type neoprene sleeve which I liked for it protected the phone from scratches but added very little extra bulk which is important to keep the Note as pocketable as possible. It would probably protect against small drops too, although I never dropped my Nexus One except in the car when it fell off the windscreen when being used as a satnav. I don't like the Flip cover because it blocks the lens when folded right back and flaps around otherwise. Has anyone found a Nexus One type sleeve for the Note?

Just picked this up to day. It was the only portfolio style case I could find. A couple people told me to come back next week. Hopefully more cases will be available soon. I think it is an ok looking case. I like the outside more than the inside. Functionality is just ok because the S-pen is a little difficult to remove while using this case.

Great idea!

I found this case only for HP33s (close to same size calculator) on eBay for $16.60:

Hi,

just got the flip case (although it's "not" really a case). I must say it's just fine and is more focused on covering the screen than offering a real protection.

However, this is a good buy for anyone who'd choose to let the GNote in it's original look (yes covering cases if efficient are not always beautiful ).
