I have some good news, I have been in contact with the MyBackup Pro support and they have sent me a new beta version 3.0.5 beta and the issues with Force close seem to be resolved and I can start the application in HC 3.55.405.1 without any issues now.
I have tested a full backup and restored some apps and data and all seems to be working.
I needed a special activation code to get the beta APK to work so I am not sure if me sharing the APK will help anyone else. I have informed them there are others with the same issue and given them the URL to this thread.
I suggest anyone with the issue to contact support@rerware.com they are very professional and quick to respond. I was very impressed.
