Question [Q] Eclipse 1.3 RC2 Launcher Shortcut Issue

Greetings,

I hope this message is posted to the correct forums. I've just recently installed this ROM by doing the following:

- 2.2.2 OTA to 2.3.3 OTA to 2.3.4
- Root via Pete's tools
- Bootstrap
- Backed up current settings
- Installed Eclipse 1.3 RC2

Everything seemed to to progress smooth. No apparent hiccups and everything seems to have installed successfully. However I'm now in the stage where I'm customizing the home screen and some of the settings and I'm running into an issue.

I enabled "4 hotseats" so that I could have, in order I prefer, Dialer, Google Voice, Gmail, and MMS (Handcent, but I haven't gotten that far yet)

I seem to be unable to add the first shortcut for Dialer. When I follow the on screen prompts and select the Dialer option, the icon for Contacts is what appears on the hotseat.

When I click this icon, I also receive an error message stating, "Application is not installed on your phone". Am I doing something wrong or does anyone know how to fix this?

I've spent the better part of tonight trying to research the issue on my own and the only results I've read don't seem to be relevant or make much sense for the Droid X2 and Eclipse 1.3 RC2.

U have this issue on both liberty and eclipse because of the launcher that is used. It is a known issue with the launcher...
Don't worry...it isn't you.
Everyone who uses not just these roms but this LAUNCHER has that issue ...
It is also documented in a review for the revived liberty project that is happening lately.
it mentioned the use of the launcher and the bug is across all devices not just us.

U just gotta leave the dialer in the spot its in...
