Why cant i download it direct to my tab? Says successfull after 1sec. Not the first time its happened

cheers, been frusrating me for a while with a few downloads but firefox seems to handle the downloads better. feels pretty rubbish other than that

Stock browser sometime just does not download for me on both the phone and the tab regardless of what OS I am running. I only install Firefox or Dolphin just for downloading files if I'm away from my desktop.
