I did a quick google search because this seemed like an interesting idea. As far as I can tell, the bands a radio is capable of is defined by the hardware, not software.

I am not saying with any certainty that the idea won't work. I just don't think its likely.

Here is what I read, http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/cell-phone8.htm
Phone: Galaxy Note LTE, Epic 4G, EVO 4G, DROID Incredible, HD2, AT&T Tilt2, AT&T Tilt

Well I'm hoping the hardware in the two are the same and it just a software change that is needed.

If someone cares to give it to me, I'll give it a try.

If you don't mind me asking which country galaxy note do you have? And also where did you purchase it from ?!

Still on HTC HD2 (love the phone!) but need something with a bigger screen that will work on t-mobile... *sigh...*

After checking *#2263# I can see there's 5 bands for 3G! 850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100!
Never mind , I found it. I was hoping I could purchase it online...

Just because you see it in an option list doesn't mean it works.
Mine has that too - trying to enable it basically hosed my phone and I had to factory reset.

How do I install this .bin file? I haven't really done this before.
Can I just swap the files and reboot or do I have to use the install script? (and if so, how do I back it out?)
