Default My Compass & G-Sensor aren't working!

I noticed this morning that my G-Sensor isn't working (tried playing one of those labyrinth games and nothing happened)...so I pulled up GPS Essentials to see if they had a built-in level I could test with and I noticed that the compass isn't working either.

So I went to Settings->Display->Calibrate G Sensor, and I get "Calibration Aborted".

Am I alone? I'd appreciate if a couple of you would test yours and post if your systems are working.

TIA

No Issues.... Turn off fastboot and reboot or do a battery pull and try again...

Are you on stock ROM or one of X's ROMs? If you are on one of X's then I'd re-flash the kernel first. If that doesn't work, do a wipe and reflash the ROM. If you are on a stock ROM, do a factory data reset as a last resort. If that doesn't fix it, you probably have a defective phone.

Try deleting (and don't forget to backup the files first), AccPrmsF.* and AK8975Prms.* from /data/misc directory and then rebooting. The files will be regenerated automatically.

Thanks!

Default Amaze 4G G-Sensor falied

I had the same sensor not working problem after a few weeks. I called TMO and was told there are a few people with the same problem. If you are with TMO, please call the customer care to log a complain. They want more people to report the problem so they can build a case and get HTC to fix it asap.

Initially, when I tried to calibrate the G-Sensor, it would say "aborted". I reset to factory and calibration was successful. BUT the sensors are still not working. Called TMO again and they cannot help and will not swap device until they have an answer from HTC. They are expecting HTC to fix this problem with an update.

I emailed HTC and they told me to pull battery, calibrate G-Sensor and last solution to reset to factory. All failed, call for warranty. They are not aware of any known issue with this problem.

So, TMO will build a case and get this resolved.

Anyone who has this problem fixed please provide your solution. Thanks.
