You click on the ff18 link in the op then use odin to install it come back here and use option d if you want cwm.

sfhub,

Thanks for all of your SGS2 posts & tools! Huge help!!

Just rooted & flashed CWM AGAT & have a question...

While booted into CWM AGAT recovery, when selecting "reboot to bootloader" from the "reboot menu", the device reboots into the ROM. Is there a reason for this or a way to boot into the bootloader, as on HTC devices? My apologies if I am missing something simple here...

A huge thanks to QBKing77 for his clear & concise videos as well!

am I missing something on this? I have tried about 4-5 times running the full zip through cmd prompt and after each time I do not have busybox or su installed.

In the process of starting from a clean FF18, I just loaded AGAT's src kernel through option D. The kernel version now says, in part, "-dirty AGA+v.0.1.1 #2"

Is there any significance to the word "dirty" in the version?

Thanks in advance,
Foulwx

Also, to dmonger11b: I think you have to be rooted first. The autoroot program only rooted the very first couple of versions like EG30/31. I recommend sfhub's one click files to install root, then come back here and install a CWM version.

My Buddy has this phone and I am going to root it for him. I just want to make sure I don't mess his phone up. He has the SPH-D710 but not sure what else I need to know so I can do it right.

I guess I mean what modem and stuff like that. I am not a noob at rooting but never rooted a samsung phone. Just need to be pointed in the right direction, please.

I flashed FF18 on my wife's E4GT and it's getting horrible battery life. Android OS usage is consistently over 90%. In trying to go back to EL29 via sfhub's One Click, both my wife's and my laptops are not recognizing the phone other than charging. I got the drivers to install but it's still not working. Anyone have any solution? Thanks!

Are you on EK02 or EG30? You can't root anything newer than that like this lmao.

You don't give a lot of detail to work with here, but I suspect you are trying to run this package on a later version than this package supports. This is quoted from the the first post in this thread:

This guide is for directly rooting EG30/EG31/EK02 (NOT EL13/newer) Android for the Samsung E4GT using a 100% automated script.

If you want a Rooted EL13/newer+CWM use the appropriate pre-rooted ODIN thread [EL13/EL26/EL29],
then come back here and use Option C to install EL13/newer+CWM (NOTE: a GB kernel/zImage will NOT allow an ICS ROM to boot)

You would probably benefit from a careful read of at least the first 3 posts or so in this thread.
