Get Nook Tweaks app. Overclocking, voltage tweaks, Audio settings, USB hosting.

Default Problem with ADW EX Auto-Restart on Reboot/Power Cycle

Recently rooted and running latest CM7.2. Everything seems to generally work, except that I am having trouble getting ADW Ex to automatically restart when I reboot or power cycle the Nook. It boots into an unmodified version of ADW EX.

To get ADW to restart/restore my settings, I have to go into the ADW settings and change some setting (or hit restart). Then ADW EX kicks in.

I've tried everything from reinstalling ADW EX, clearing data, uninstalling ADW and putting ADW EX in system/apps folder, installing another launcher, clearing cache, fix permissions in CW, and on and on.

Frustrated. Any suggestions?

Otherwise I'm just gonna reflash the ROM or go to CM7.1, and assume it was a bad initial flash, unless someone thinks I need to re-root because of a bad CW image (I would assume I would be experiencing more issues if I had a bad root image).

Thanks for any help

DONATE TO ME
I have posted the 01102012 build of MiRaGe.
- Synced with CM, minor changes in addition to followings.
- Disabling the boot animation option in the CM settings
- Ringlock style options added to CM settings
- Support for BT GPS dongles. I can't test this.

I have tested on my NC and everyting seems to be working. Please post here if you find any problems.

Please thank/donate to the CM project
... and enjoy

I had tried ADW EX and it worked fine as a replacement launcher. I think you have not set ADW EX as the default home launcher. Press the home button and set the check mark before choosing ADW EX. That should be all needed.

ADW EX has been set as the default launcher. I dunno what's the problem as to why it won't restart on reboot.

Think I'll reflash and see it that works.

I've just installed this, but when I open Market it says, "You must add an account to the device to continue. Do you want to add one now?". I click Yes and it just blinks and dumps me back out to the Home screen.

Any thoughts?

THanks!

Assuming that you have properly flashed GAPPS, I can only suggest clearing the data of Market app in the Application Settings and retry.

At home screen:

Menu > Settings > Accounts and Sync > Add Account, Google > Enter credentials

Did you flash gapps after the rom but before a reboot?

mrg666,

Just wanted to say thanks for the new release. I've been using Mirage since the 11/16 release and it's been super reliable and stable for me.

I did take a little break from it to taste a little ice cream with fattire's sneakpeeks but I will go back to using this as my daily and just play with ICS from time to time on SD card until it reaches beta or better. Thanks again for your time and work.

Wanted to add my thanks too! This Kang build saved me when I realized that the CM7 I had loaded on 9 Nooks as Christmas presents was SoD-prone. You made some kids very happy and saved me a lot of tech support time in the process.
