Talking Huawei S7 -104 Working with 3G on Straight Talk

Ok, So I'm giving back to the forum...

Here goes,

As one knows, you must have a straight talk sims card already working with the proper phone Device, (Please see other forums to see which 3 models qualify E5 nokia 6790, E71)

Turn on S7 with sims card in the proper way.
hit settings
wireless and networks
mobile networks

Then go to Access Point Names
create a new access point name (Call it what ever you want, I called it Straight Talk)
Name Straight Talk
APN att.mvno
leave all the following blank or not set till you get to mmsc
MMSC [B]put in the http colon forward slash forward slash mmsc.cingular.com
forum will not let me put it in properly as I am a new poster
mms proxy proxy.mvno,tracfone.com
MMS port 80
MCC 310
Authentication type None
APN Type Not Set

After you put in your settings, Hit the menu button then save it.
it will not save with out a sims card in it, most likely a working one!
Go to Network Mode
network mode and Select GSM/ WCDMA Auto
then hit button GSM/UMTS OPTIONS

Make sure once it is saved, you go back to the apns page on your device and hit the new apn Straight Talk and make sure it has a green light...

You will also have to go to network operators and search networks for provider att.

Go back to apn page and make sure the Straight talk apn you just created is light Green. once that is the case, return to home screen and watch you signal and turn to 3g or H with up and down arrows...

You may have to reboot your phone for settings to take place...

I am not an expert by any means...
But I figured this out and know others want to know...

I also rooted my device using z4root
and updated it to android v 2.2.2 kernel 2.6.32.9 Ideos
also installed flash 10.1
(Please do not ask me how I did the last part of rooting and firmware update,
huawei-ideos-s7-android-2-2-2-rom-installations-guide search for it

INSTALLED NO FRILLS CPU APP over clocked device to 998 mhz

I'm not in love with this device, but honestly, it is a good unlocked large tablet phone with pretty fast web browsing. It will also do Tethering via wifi I tested this to, works excellent, but most likely need to root and update firmware, I did not test this with the old firmware, and flash player works too once installed...
look for it via google or howard forums

I believe it will show att 2g select that and it will register....

I hope this helps some of you out there...
good luck,
