Default ICS Source to be released 17th according to Notion Ink ?

Normally a remark like this wouldn't be taken at face value, but Shravan already has a track record with this sort of thing, having accurately predicted the release of Android Gingerbread last year. Shravan's claim seems even more plausible when considering the fact that the European Galaxy Nexus has been confirmed for launch on the 17th. You may also remember that Dan Morrill made it clear last month that Ice Cream Sandwich's source would not be released before the Galaxy Nexus.

Of course, without confirmation from Google, we can only wait in anticipation, but luckily we won't have to wait long before seeing if this statement in fact materializes.

Im still undecided btwn GN and Amaze since no Tmo sub'd version of GN exists.
Having come from N1 Kinda out of the loop as to what turnaround times are for these types AOSP> Rom times.
Are we talking Weeks , Months ?
From what I understand S-OFF isnt an issue and good devs seem to be working on Amaze already.
Acer Iconia or Galaxy Tab 10.1 ?
My comparison

The galaxy nexus is a whole different experience from the amaze, being that when ics is released early next year for the amaze ( as according to htc ) its functions will be intergrated into the sense ui. The galaxy nexus will offer the stock or vanilla user interface.

Personally on all the vanilla based devices I've had it always seems I root to get that sense based ui back so it was an easy decision for me, but keep in mind even if that rumor is true the source code won't promise a carrier based update or even stable custom roms for a number of weeks.

tldr; it may be awhile

FYI, ICS source is now in the wild (I got it from the general dev section at XDA)
