Try superwipe then reflash rom. I don't have that issue either

Did you wipe and clean install the ROM? Or did you flash over the top of VU2.39?
Have you signed into Google account so you have your contacts in your list?
The callers aren't witholding their number are they?
Did you check the MD5 Sum of the ROM you downloaded?

As vladabiber suggests, try wiping and reinstalling the ROM again be careful with anything like Titanium Backup.

Have you backed up your contacts & restored them?
Usually an unknown number should not appear even if the contact is not stored & should display the number at least if not the name...
I would have this problem on an old Nokia if the same number was saved under 2 different names...

can you view the contacts in your phonebook?

I can't seem to mount as SD after flashing this ROM. My phone recognizes the card just fine. I have tried wiping and reflashing, but still no dice. Is this just me?

Are you getting the prompt to choose so? If not can you go to settings > connect to pc and uncheck the box and set default to disk drive and then connect

I am getting the prompt, it even makes the "new device found"noise on my pc, it just never shows up. The same card will connect through my wifes phone and shows up without issue in my sd card adapter.

Did you try updating HTC sync or may be reinstall it?

Yes i flashed this ROM after a complete wipe and I dont use titanium back up or anything ... and yes the contacts are saved in my phone book and every number i tried it only displays unknown calling.
