Finally got it rectified...git was missing curl and expat support

sudo apt-get remove git-core
wget http://kernel.org/pub/software/scm/g...1.7.3.5.tar.gz
sudo apt-get build-dep git-core
tar xvzf git-1.7.3.5.tar.gz
cd git-1.7.3.5/
./configure --with-curl --with-expat
make
sudo make install

This will help...

Starting build 3 and now build 4, irrespective of kernel it seems, i'm facing a problem with ICS. It works smoothly for about a day without any problems, then out of the blue i get a horrible lag when i unlock. when i try to unlock, the screen turns on but doesn't recognise my touch for a few minutes. A reboot sets it right, but then it comes back within a day. any help? the worst part is that this same lack of responsiveness carries on to when i recieve calls, and i have to wait about a minute before i can pick up.

Its not a fully stable rom yet, so maybe you can try other roms first

Cheers

i completely get that, but i seem to be the only one with the problem, which is why i'm wondering if anyone else has come across the same bug?

okay, finally others in the dev section are discussing this bug, and apparently, in ics, for one, its better to use arakmar's kernel, and secondly, the 20 seconds to wake bug is not seen when you set wifi sleep mode to never. its in Settings-Wifi-(Press Menu)Advanced-Wifi sleep policy. Set it to never and it should help. I'm using miui now though, and i've only just tried this, so i'll report on whether it works or not later.
