Do we have to update?

My transformer is rooted, i am not running any roms just stock. But for some reason it downloaded the updated and asks me to install the update. i have not installed it yet, because i don't want to unrooted, update, the re root. But today i tried to watch a movie on my dice player and i got an error, saying license not allowed, check time and timezone on your device. Is this due to my device wanting to update? I did clear the cache from dice and it did not help. And yes i bought the license for the dice player.

what ROM are you currently running.. there should be no need for an update, if you are up to date.. no pun intended

he said he is on stock but didnt state the version we need that in order to be able to help
