Hi,

I have an HCL ME Tablet Model AP10-A1. Technical Specifications are mentioned below.

I see the maker of the device as "Nvidia" in Android Market.

I rooted this device successfully. But now, I want to upgrade it to Gingerbread or any other better version of Android. I don't know which ROM to use. I tried googling a lot but seems I am the only person who bought this device. Can you guys please help me with this? If you guys need anymore details here, please let me know.

I have rooted my Samsung Galaxy I7500 in past and has been playing with it since years, meaning, I know what root is, ROM is and other related commands, etc.

even I got one HCL AP10 A1.. bought from ebay...

aah.. I too got it from ebay. atleast we can start sharing our apps / experiences until someone gets us an update.

have you changed the recovery on it? or still the stock one?

do you have any wonderful achievements on it?

well it kinda sucks doesnt it .. even i have got the same one ... things i of what i know ppl use rom manager after rooting .. but after installing rom manager .. what i noticed was that HCL is not at all in their list ... for crying out loud it even has Spice Mi tablet on their list but not HCL .. so i think we are stuck

it doesn't really suck that much.. hehe. I love the performance of it.. almost everything works with mine.. Skype Video calls, High End Games (Trial Extreme, etc), Jabber VOIP Calls, etc. I use VTL Launcher and it adds a lot of space on this tab. I use MultiLing Keyboard for Tab which increases the productivity. I wanted to make Junos Pulse Work on it. If that works, I see nowhere else. Any help there guys? may be the tun.ko file is needed for this

its a good tab... i played all high end games THD games on it... using wifi/ 3g/2g for browsing and chatting with friends... installed spb 3d shell...

Parmesh, is gps working on your unit? Mine juz doesn't lock my position. Neither I see the gps icon in statusbar like other android phones.

I too am planning to buy this tablet.
I'm quite sure its either the Malata SMB-A1004 or The SMB-A1009.
If it is then you all can install honeycomb meant for the Notion Ink Adam.

Learn to use nvflash first if in case u brick the pad.
Then flash it in recovery mode.
