Just got home and Fedex left a nice present on the doorstep. My Commuter case is here.

It fits the Rezound perfectly and looks great.

I can attest that the buttons are much easier to use with the Commuter case. And just a heads up, the Commuter case also comes with a screen protector.

Coo coo. I'm still waiting for mine. It was supposed to be delivered today but... Now it probably wont be till next week :(

Does the phone feel any bigger than with the silicon case? Or does it still have a good feel to it?

FYI the case is silicon with a plastic shell.

Here are the Rezound's dimensions as provided by Verizon

Dimensions

Size: 5.08” x 2.58” x .54”

Now with the Otterbox Commuter case.

Size: 5.253” x 2.779” x 0.690”

So, it is a bit bigger and it a little noticeable. But not overly so. The shape of the case mimics the shape of the phone. It's a very nice case. I have a Commuter case for my Incredible and was impressed by that. The case for the Rezound is even nicer. The fit and finish is excellent with minor mold seams. My only gripe and it's a minor one is that the flap that covers the USB connection is a bit difficult to open for me. If I didn't bite my nails it would be a non-issue though.

I got a Defender with the phone (verizon threw in).

Seems okay, I'm cool with larger cases.

Rubber sometimes makes it hard to fish out of pockets (esp when seated). Also, the screen protector part is garbage IMHO; I popped it out and used it as a template to cut up a Speck Matte ipad2 screen protector (made like 6 Rezound-sized covers out of 1 of the 2 sheets included in the pack).

The thing I really like about the speck matte material is that 1) You can make so many rezound screen protectors out of a single sheet 2) its matte, so cuts down on a lot of the glare (super shiny screens kill me) 3) the edges of the cases on the front cover up my less than laser-precise cutting job (looks seamless when the case is on though) 4) the durability has been phenomenal on my ipad2 (on the same screen protector since whenever ipad2 was released) 5) the texture feels nice and is reasonably fingerprint resistant.

I called to check on my commuter case today since it still said my order was processing. I placed order on 15th. The rep was like let's see your card went through ok shows we have plenty of them in stock don't know why it's pending. What I'm gonna do sir is just put in another order for you and what may happen is if the other order processes you'll end up with two cases don't worry about sending it back its our mistake. I'll process this right now. OK thanks.

I get the confirmation email an hour later their sending me a defender case.

So in my order screen it shows me paying for the commuter case and pending. And a defender case at a zero charge being shipped out. Score? Maybe? We'll see. Really wanted the commuter case though.

Cross post from the car mount thread, but does anyone have the OEM car mount and the Commuter case? The car mount comes with extra cradle inserts to accommodate the OEM cases, but I would really like to know if the Commuter fits it as well.
