Question [Q] Drivers for the Galaxy Nexus?

Anyone know where/how to get the drivers for the Galaxy Nexus?

Will it just be a case of updating the drives from the android SDK?

I think I have a mint VM that has the android SDK installed maybe I just try use that and see if I can get some 'oem unlock' love going on
I have ORD

Nexus 4 8GB
Nexus 7 16GB

Right I'll answer my own post!

Basically I got the superboot zip from Paul O'Brien ModaCo page and used the fastboot.exe in the folder of that zip

When my Galaxy Nexus is in bootloader mode, fastboot-windows.exe just sits at "< waiting for device >" and the Windows 7 device manager shows the phone (in bootloader mode) as an unknown device.

Did you manage to find Windows 7 drivers? The r4 OEM USB drivers from Google don't have support for the Galaxy Nexus yet...

I had this issue. Some advice on another thread was to use the drivers from PDAnet (or something like that) which worked for me (Win 7 x64). Then you can uninstall the program and the drivers will remain. I'll try to find the link.

Even if you don't change much, rooting is strangely liberating.

Install the program to get the drivers, then uninstall it (if you don't want it) and keep the drivers.

You can just download the drivers on their own without installing pdanet from
