Default extra inexpensive charger?

so it looks like my normal micro usb charger is only 1A. anyone got a good lead on a sub $15 one that will work...since i need 3 i would rather not pay $25

also i got the Kindle Fire MicroShell Folio Cover by Marware, Black
off amazon. com /gp/product/B005V2EVBQ/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
and its a good tight fit case that i have no complaints on.
price is now down to $29.99 with prime shipping.

Dealextreme should have something to meet your requirements. A quick search reveals they have both household and car chargers at 2A. About $6 each. Ships from China for free, and takes about 2 weeks average delivery to the United States

I was unaware that there was anything special about the charger. I've been using the same cable for my Kindle 2, HTC Evo and Kindle Fire without an issue...

It will just charge a lot slower if the device is on (if at all, depending on the power requirements of the device in use), if you use an under-amped charger. You can speed it up by turning the device completely off.

Unhappy won't charge with usb battery and microusb cable

I have a New Trent battery that I use to charge my other tablets (will charge an iPad from 0% to 100%). It does not seem to be charging my Kindle Fire. Any ideas? This may be a deal breaker for me if I can't carry an extra battery to use to charge it.

I don't want this to sound troll-ish, I'm genuinely wondering: Where do you go that 7-8 hrs without a power source (car, plane, or AC) isn't enough?

I have a rechargeable battery pack I bought from Harbor Freight it is a Thunderbolt Magnum Power Pack it is a 3.9 V 3000 mAh I plugged it in to the Fire and it is charging
It charges my android phone about 3 times.
I will report back in the morning on if it fully charges it.
It was $21 and change shipped.

i guess im just use to my D2G on that i have to change batteries 1/2 way through the day. so i don't like being without a charger. besides when i take off for over night it would be nice if i just had one in the car. one less thing to pack. thanks for the reply with the leads.

Most passenger trains (commuter and long distance) today have AC plugs in them, ie.in coaches next to the seats, in lounge and dining cars and in bedrooms in the sleeping cars.

Ok my battery charged from 20% to 65% using my cheap battery pack last night so it will help somewhat when I need extra power without access to AC power.
