Easiest method to unlock bootloader? For full rom flashin and cwm?

I just rooted my photon so does this mean that root unlocked the boot loader?

I wanna flash a rom and use the cwm and rom manager but whats the safest problem free method to unlock.. ?
Any links or threads without using adb?

You will have to use fastboot to do this because there isnt a one click yet, i unlocked mine the other day by opening fastboot and typing fastboot oem unlock, then the device id. It unlocked and i had no issues
