Just flash it over 5.1 and all your settings still be the same . If you have a theme installed you have to flash that again.

i got this problem

everytime I reboot the phone, the phone will reset its ringtones (phone and notifications) to the default tones. anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

In logcat I keep getting this error:

reverting back to v5.0 as my phone always lost the carrier signal and ringtones keep setting to default tones everytime I reboot the phone. Phone much more stable in this 5.0 version.

Same problem here too Switched to MIUI now.
