Youtube not playing audio when screen turned off

what gives? it worked before, all of a sudden, doesn't work. what i mean is, when listening to music on youtube, the audio would still play after the screen is turned off, now, all of a sudden, it doesn't do that. any help would be greatly appreciated.

and this is for a friends amaze 4g

Same problem here. I hope it is nothing to do with the update that I recently got.

I am on Pinnacle 1.3.

Mine never did thst.. n after I would have to refresh page just to get the video to play again

If you just view the Youtube Update option in Market, you'll see tons of people complaining of this after the last Youtube Update.

So your friend updated his Youtube and that's the culprit. They changed how the app works. Has nothing to do with the phone.

I can't seem to recall youtube not working while screen is off.....
Maybe because the screen doesn't die while the app is active.
Or its just not seeing the difference between audio and video

So shouldn't we be able to uninstall the update through "manage apps"?
