so how do I flash just the baseband with this newest flashtool???? I flashed or so I thought the -67 baseband and now it just sits at the boot animation and does nothing else!! WTF? what happened Ive NEVER had this issue with any of the previous flashtools

newest is 8.6.0, (not on xda) and you can select to just flash baseband. when you put it in flashmode it shows what's checked to flash on the right when a ftf is highlighted

I'm aware of how to do it its just there are a bunch more options that can be checked too, like what is the uncategorised option, and the F0ta? Should those be excluded too? I went back to using 0.6.9 flashtool and there is none of that and just seems easier more user friendly than the newest update

Does the bootlaoder unlock plugin, keep the DRM keys and the ability to use offical OTAs ?

I'm trying to root my PLAY having Android 2.3.3 and 3.0.1.A.0.145 build.
To root my device, I just need to connect it to the PC with flashtool and click Root like it was before with the
original flashtool and the X10a?

I really don't care if I need to go back to 2.3.2, I just want to have root and if possible, change to the north american version...

Thanks for the help and all devs who help us.

Since this seems to never get updated..Flashtool has been updated to Flashtool v0.9.0.0. You can download HERE

EDIT: What do you know? The drivers ACTUALLY installed for me! Grabbing my RCA Audio Cables because they work as a conductor for testpoint, about to unlock my phone, yay!!

EDIT: Pardon, ready to unlock once unlock-bootloader.com gets back to me. :P
