Neither did I with luck of sound in Beta 1.4. Switched back to Beta 1.3.

FYI If you would like to add a little native ICS UI for your Beta 1.3 music app, try music player for ICS by CyanogenMod team extracted from CM9 ROM.

Installation:

delete music.apk and musicfx.apk located in /system/app by using file manager like root explorer;

download the CM9 music app from http://goo.gl/CckWp;

install it like any standard apks from your sd card;

done.

It's been confirmed by me the music app itself works fine and has equalizer options and DSP configration enabled, which however, is yet to be tested since they were designed for Samsung Galaxy Nexus. So if you want to modify the updater-script files to make them flashable for Hero running ICS ROMs.

Here are DSP manager install and uninstall zips (NEED MODIFYING) I found from http://sghi777.blogspot.com/2012/03/...for-stock.html

DSPManager_ICS_CWM.zip

Try "QuickPic" instead. I think the developer of native Gigerbread gallery, the "Cooliris" has stopped supporting or updating for this app.

I have re-written the ICS camera HAL module to be a thin wrapper for the gingerbread libcamera.so and hence it will only work with the 2.6 kernel. The advantage is that getting to gingerbread level functionality should be quick Creating a new thread because there is a slight chance that this will work for all qualcomm devices with existing libcamera.so files (with slight mods ofcourse )

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1427030

does this help at all on the camera department?

How did you get this to run on Pandigital Novel?

Perhaps this will help the Hero run ICS a little more smoothly.

That's not for ICS, that's for the new android jelly bean (android 4.1).
Good find anyway
