We are looking at around 4 hours wait ( if a new build is being released today)

lots of work on bootmenu,backlight,and opengl stuff ( im sure that isnt easy)

really hyped about this next build ( when ever it drops on us)

Where did you see the changes?

It is good to follow the progress of the build and the activity of devs, but don't complain about it. Devs are working without return. If you wanna speed up the progress, please try every build and report the bugs. You can also compile it on github, or donate to devs so that they may have more free time working on the build rather than earning money on their daily job.

Installed Walter's ICS

Working:
Call (Proximity sensor is not working)
GSM Data
Gallery(Kind of slow when we open a picture)
Wifi
Bluetooth
Music
Auto orientation

Market crashes & other apps crashes randomly.
No light in option,menu, back & search button.
When something pops up or when we get processing or loading prompt..screen starts blinking..

Commits for Quarxs GitHub

https://github.com/Quarx2k/android_d...an/commits/ics

! On a core2duo 2.0 GHz with 3GB ram building CM9 needs 2-2.5h !

How to compile CM9-ICS from quarxs source at github This was my way.

1. Install Ubuntu (10.04 LTS) (64bit) !You will need 50GB+ free HDD space min. 3-4 GB ram !!

2. Install the Build Packages
Install using the package manager of your choice:

For 32-bit & 64-bit systems:

git-core gnupg flex bison gperf libsdl1.2-dev libesd0-dev libwxgtk2.6-dev squashfs-tools build-essential zip curl libncurses5-dev zlib1g-dev sun-java6-jdk pngcrush schedtool

For 64-bit only systems:

g++-multilib lib32z1-dev lib32ncurses5-dev lib32readline5-dev gcc-4.3-multilib g++-4.3-multilib

NOTE: gcc-4.3-multilib g++-4.3-multilib is no longer available for Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit, but should still build without issue.

NOTE: On Ubuntu 10.10, and variants, you need to enable the parter repository to install sun-java6-jdk:

add-apt-repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ maverick partner"
3. Create the Directories
You will need to set up some directories in your build environment.

To create them:

mkdir -p ~/bin
mkdir -p ~/android/system
4. Install the Repository
Enter the following to download make executable the "repo" binary:

curl https://dl-ssl.google.com/dl/googlesource/git-repo/repo > ~/bin/repo

chmod a+x ~/bin/repo

!! Reboot for these changes to take effect.
5. Now enter the following to initialize the repository:

cd ~/android/system/

repo init -u git://github.com/Quarx2k/android.git -b ics

repo sync

# DOWNLOAD of files ~ 4GB
6. Download RomManager (DELETED IN BUILD)

mkdir vendor/cm/proprietary

cd vendor/cm && ./get-rommanager

7. Build

delete: ~/android/system/hardware/ti/overlay folder

cd ~/android/system/

repo sync # to have latest updates

rm -rf out/target

For CM9 branch :

source build/envsetup.sh && brunch jordan

or for AOSP :

source build/envsetup.sh && lunch full_jordan-eng

mka bacon

Use the signed zip to update the defy with the bootmenu recovery, not the ota package !

File is located in ~/android/system/out/target/jordan

If you look at this and this and see the commits per day I'd go back and edit my post if I were you. Show some gratitude and respect

Recover the boot.img from your backup trough CWM advanced recovery, thats what i did and it works. But be careful with recovering boot images.

I just found that the strange bug in Fruit Ninja I showed in my last post was because I had checked "Force GPU render" in Development Options. Unckecked it, and now every app that showed that strange behavior is "fixed".

As for the illiterate bloodsuckers in this topic, please, go away. Create another topic for your senseless (really senseless, some posts aren't even decipherable) ranting. This should be centered on the actual development issues.
